Been a while since posting Nell updates cos we’re so busy in the bat cave working. WE ARE NEARLY FINISHED! Just 3 more shots to animate… this is the last big one that’s nearly done :)

A little script I found to add an object to a lattice that exists in your scene already:

Select the lattice, then the object.  Paste the following into the script editor, select all the code, and press numerical enter (that’s the enter by your keypad; the other big enter will add a new line but you want to execute the code):

string $selSet[] = `ls -sl`;

string $lattice = $selSet[0];

string $object = $selSet[1];

lattice -e -g $object $lattice;

Woohoo!  Bomb guy 1 and 2 (which are the same essentially but one is scaled smaller) are rigged and ready for action!  Significant milestone: no more rigging for the rest of the project, woot!

Scene 01 Shot 08 - Animation WIP.  Needing a final polish, but had to battle with lots of constraints so pretty happy that this one is nearly out of the way!

Agent’s expression sheet.  In the 3d character we had to lose the moustache as it was getting a bit tricky to work in conjunction with all the blend shapes and squish deformers.

Fatty’s face and body rigging is complete, w00t!  

He has 29 blendshapes AND squish controls, so he’ll be the 3rd most organic/expressive character after Nell and Agent.

Fatty Facial Upgrade - loopy goodness.  His body is rigged, and we’re about 1/2 through the face setup. (He’ll have a less comprehensive blendshape set than Nell as he’s in far fewer shots and goes through less facial variations).
